Jezz Mania: Better Jezzball 1.0

Story

The discovery of a new type of atom, known as Jezz atoms, has been made on a distant planet. Players assume the role of a commander tasked with sending samples of these atoms back to Earth. The unique property of Jezz atoms is that they can only be transmitted when tightly packed, incentivizing players to enhance their packing skills in exchange for galactic credits.

About the Game

This game draws inspiration from the classic JezzBall from the 1990s. The primary objective is to capture a specified percentage of the play area, as indicated in the top right corner, by constructing walls. Players must exercise caution, as Jezz atoms have the ability to dismantle walls. An area is considered captured when no atoms remain within it.

Wall construction is initiated by swiping on the screen; it begins once a finger is released. A special marker will appear on the screen to denote where the wall will be formed. To cancel wall construction, players can lift their finger off the screen above the play area.

Atoms

Various types of Jezz atoms are present in the game, each possessing distinct characteristics and abilities:

• Regular Jezz: The most basic type, displaying consistent movement speed without special powers.
• Speeding Jezz: Begins at a slower pace but accelerates with each bounce.
• Fast Jezz: Starts rapidly but decelerates with time and bounces due to fatigue.
• Random Jezz: Functions like Regular Jezz but randomly alters its flight direction.
• Breaking Jezz: Demolishes walls upon contact but is slightly slower than Regular Jezz.
• Sniper Jezz: Targets the wall-building process, advancing at double speed when it detects wall construction.
• Father Jezz: Produces up to three offspring at specific milestones in area filling percentage.
• Baby Jezz: Smaller than Father Jezz; lacks spawning capabilities but can still compromise walls effectively.

Power-ups

Certain levels may feature power-ups to assist players in managing Jezz atoms, though caution is advised as some may have adverse effects. Examples include:

• Life: Grants an additional life.
• Immortal: Provides a temporary state of invulnerability during which no lives are lost despite wall breaches.
• Unbreakable: Shields walls from Breaking Jezz for a limited duration.
• Freeze: Slows all Jezz atoms to half their speed for a brief time.
• Rapid Wall: Accelerates wall construction for a short period.
• Lazy Wall: Slows down wall building, introducing an extra challenge.

Lives

The game begins with a specified number of lives, displayed in the top left corner. Each wall comprises two segments (either vertical or horizontal), and losing any segment results in life loss. Additionally, players may earn extra lives, accessible by watching ads if applicable.

Extra Walls

Certain levels include pre-constructed walls intended to facilitate gameplay. Conversely, some stages feature spike-walls that destroy any built structure on contact, compelling players to strategize around them.

Scores

Your performance after each level is evaluated based on various criteria:

• Time: Completing levels swiftly awards more points.
• Lives: Each remaining life contributes 100 points.
• Isolated Atoms: Capturing solitary Jezz atoms yields 100 points each.
• Largest Area Captured: Each segment of wall in the largest captured area earns 1 point.
• Total Area Captured: Each segment above the required threshold adds 5 points.
• Level Multiplier: Advanced levels yield bonus points.

A maximum of three stars can be earned based on total scores per level. Should players fall short of achieving three stars during their initial attempt, they are encouraged to try again for improvement.
